Kara Seymour is the visionary creator of Open HeART Space. Kara's yoga practice has gifted her with the wisdom of our connection to all things, and the importance of taking full responsibility for her physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Yoga for Kara is a constant reminder to be aware of the present moment and to be grateful for this gift of life.
Kara is a mother of a six year old fairy named Lila. Kara's personal yoga practice has greatly influenced her approach to parenting, and has helped reconnect her with the wonders and aweness of life. Kara is inspired by her daughters truthful expression in each moment without holding back and her ability to observe the world without judgement.
In May of 2004 Kara began a year long 200 hour teacher training program with YogaSpirits Studios. This incredibly in depth experience gave her the tools to teach yoga to all abilities, all ages, and to organically create her own teaching style. Kara teaches a vinyasa class. Vinyasa means a joining or linking mechanism. In other words, to intentionally link poses together that maintain a continuous flow of the breath and the body. Each class is designed to fit the needs and desires of the students that are present, assisting all in safely progressing in their practice.
Kara also completed an Acro Yoga Teacher Training in Montreal with Jesse and Eugene in July of 2008 www.acroyoga.com. And Kara has recently been accepted as one of thirty people world wide chosen to participate in the 2010 AcroYoga Teacher Training with Jenny and Jason the co-creators of AcroYoga in US www.acroyoga.org

Kara supports students in discovering their own internal rhythms and allowing the breath to move the body.
The roots of yoga are very deep and vast. Kara creatively incorporates the traditional ancient yoga practices into our modern day lifestyle.
